I like that Jenna does something that’s kind of cruel. Matty’s more interesting heartbroken, Jenna’s more interesting with a bit of guilt, and Jake’s going to be a complete wreck when he realizes what he unknowingly did to his best friend.
It’s a problem for the characters, maybe, but I’d argue it’s a big plus for the show
